About
̌
I am fortunate to have had (and still have) some very good mentors.
My first “lift-off” in coffee was the kindness and support of Kent Bakke of La Marzocco USA. It was he who encouraged me to move out to the east coast and dream big.
After spending some time as an orchestral cellist, I devoted myself full-time to the coffee world. After starting, running, and reviving several coffee houses in the east coast, I went to work and learn from George Howell. I was exposed to his innovative green practices, and embraced the culture of green freshness and most important: terroir.
My meeting with Scott Rao could not have come at a better time. Scott showed me a systemic roasting language that allowed me to not only express my coffees the way I desired, it now serves as the fundamental language for my students. I am beyond thrilled to partner with him to execute some innovative offerings to the coffee world.
My passion in coffee exists to give back to a world that has welcomed me with such open arms.
